Project Description
Phase I of this project included a complete redevelopment of the campus parking areas and driveways,
electrical, fire protection, water and sewer infrastructure and landscaping.
The project combined several parcels of land which had been purchased over the past few
years and combined them with the existing campus to create one common school facility.
Phase II was the construction of a new modern Art and Music Building which also
houses the schools library. The challenges of this project included a compressed
schedule and an extremely tight project site. The school is located in a very dense
residential area. The Art and Music Building is only 15 feet from the adjacent property
line. Noise, dust, and traffic control were major concerns for the school administration,
and construction notices to the neighborhood and strictly managed workmen decorum ensured
these concerns were always addressed.
Jane Mack Building renovations (phase III) included re-programming of a major portion
of the existing elementary school facility. A new faculty lounge, classrooms, and
student bathrooms were all part of this extremely fast tracked project.
