How did you decide on construction as a career?
My Dad owned his own construction business and as a child he would take me to work. I learned from an early age how satisfying it was to build something with your own hands. After High School I enlisted in the SEABEES as a builder and served for three years before coming home and working in the family business. Construction has been my only job and I really feel that it is my true passion.
What do you like the most about this industry/your job?
I enjoy working on the construction site and working as part of a team with a wide variety of different professionals. Every day brings new obstacles and challenges that must be overcome while maintaining the schedule. It’s rewarding to see the progression of a project through its different phases and then its completed stage. The fact that my job begins with an idea on a piece paper and ends with a building is truly rewarding.
What are your hobbies/interests?
I enjoy spending time with beautiful wife and six children. My children range in age from 22yrs to 2 yrs so there is always something fun to do whether it be visiting my oldest at college or taking my youngest to the park. I enjoy the beach, bike riding and photography.
